About this file

This is a Statement of No Bid form issued by the City of Lubbock, Texas, Purchasing and Contract Management department in response to an invitation to bid for one 3/4-ton 15-passenger van for Lubbock Fire Rescue. The form is designed for vendors who have chosen not to submit a bid on this requirement and must be returned to Marta Alvarez, Director of Purchasing and Contract Management, prior to the bid receipt date. The document provides vendors with a checklist of common reasons for declining to bid, including specifications that are too restrictive or unclear, insufficient response time, lack of product availability, scheduling constraints, inability to meet specifications, project scope concerns, bonding or insurance limitations, and other business considerations.

The form requires completing company information fields including name, address, contact person, title, telephone number, facsimile, and internet address to maintain the vendor on the City's bidders list for future opportunities. Vendors may specify which product categories or services they wish to be classified under if they choose to remain on the bidders list despite declining this particular opportunity. The form allows space for remarks to provide detailed explanations for reasons selected from the checklist, enabling the City to better understand vendor constraints and improve future procurement processes.
