About this file
This document is an Anti-Human Trafficking Affidavit required under Florida Statute 787.06(13), which mandates that businesses attest to not using coercion for labor or services. The affidavit provides a detailed definition of "coercion" including seven specific prohibited actions such as using physical force, restraining or isolating individuals, establishing exploitative debt, confiscating identification documents, causing financial harm, enticing by fraud, or providing controlled substances for exploitation.
The affidavit requires a signature from an authorized representative of an entity, who will print their name, title, and the entity name, and date the document. The definitions within the document broadly describe "labor" as work with economic value and "services" as acts committed for another's benefit, which can include forced marriage, servitude, or organ removal. By signing, the representative swears under penalty of perjury that their organization does not engage in any form of human trafficking or coercive labor practices.
