About this file

This is a specifications document for construction work on shade shelters and related sitework, presented as multiple sections of technical specifications for an unidentified state or local government agency. The project involves the furnishing of materials and labor for constructing shade shelters with concrete foundations, steel frame structures, and metal roofing panels. Related work includes sitework concrete for sidewalks, use pads, plaza paving, and curbing, along with structural and miscellaneous metals fabrication and installation. The specifications require submission of metal fabricator qualifications, roof samples, detailed shop drawings, and concrete design mixtures for approval by the Project Manager prior to work commencement. Concrete work must be approved a minimum of 24 hours before placement, and all scheduled pours require formal authorization from the Project Manager before proceeding. The document does not specify item quantities, response dates, bid due dates, site visits, bidder conferences, award dates, or contract terms.

The specifications establish detailed product requirements including 24-gauge "R-Panel" metal roofing manufactured by Metal Sales, Sherwin Williams Pro Industrial paint in "French Roast" color (SW#6069), and concrete with a minimum 28-day compressive strength of 4,000 psi. Concrete materials must include Type II Portland cement, 5 to 7 percent air entrainment, and maximum one-inch coarse aggregate, with delivery required within 90 minutes of batching. Welders must be certified under AWS Code D1.1, and all fabrication must follow AISC specifications. An independent testing laboratory must perform compression and strength testing on samples taken for every 50 cubic yards of concrete placed. The document provides no information regarding pricing, set-asides, incumbents, funding sources, or contract award amounts.
