SNAFC Rodent Eradication - Questions

Questions Answers Responded 1 Prior to the March 2020 closure, is there any knowledge or available documentation noting a presence of any sized rodent activity/infestation anywhere at this facility?

No

2 In the SOO, the word mouse/mice is used interchangeably with the word rodent.

According to the inspection photos from a recent site visit, there's evidence of Roof Rat droppings and a juvenile Roof Rat caught in a trap. There's no reference to Rats in your documentation, only mice and/or rodents. Is there documentation or the awareness (of the CO/CS) of any of the two Rat Species (Roof & Norway) seen, caught or treated for, before or after March 2020?

Before March 2020, there were no known trappings of rat species, and only an occasional mouse was reported.

3 Has there been noted evidence or an awarness of droppings, urine or rodent carcasses above the ceiling tiles, or on or around exposed or [human] accessible air ducts at any of the infested locations? And has the CO considered these possibilities?

Rodent droppings were seen above the ceiling tiles. The above ceiling areas are concidered part of the facility and would be included in your overall plan for phase 3, pest control and traping, if needed. 1

4 Is there a known approximate percentage of locations/spaces that currently have rodent activity at each building, floor or agency?

No known percentages - this would only be a guess. 1

Will there be a provided copy of all the buildings' construction blueprints and/or utility schematics to the awarded contractor?

Yes, this documentation will only be presented to the awarded contractor.

(Butler) 1

6 Would you please provide office space and storage space for the Award winner? Yes, we can provide office & storage spae for the awarded vendor. 2

7 Please clarify that the vendor is only responsible for identifying and making recommendations for entry points of rodents?

Correct

8 Will the maintenance crew work with the vendor to repair holes, gaps and any entry points identified in the building?

Yes, we can forward the pest control areas of entry points to our O&M contractor for repair. 2

9 Do you need references from our teaming partners? Yes. (Butler) 2 10 What is the highest floor in which rodents have been reported? 24th floor Tower 3 11 What control methods have been implemented in the last 6 months? There has been only rodent trappings, and on the exterior, there was poison put out 3 12 What is the name of the current pest and janitorial companies contracted by the Sam

Nunn building?

AUTHORITY Wildlife & Pest Solutions

13 Do cubicles that show no sign of contamination need to be cleared of paper and waste? No. 3 14 What is the government’s plan regarding employee’s personal items being left behind? Anything that is contaminated should be cleaned. If cleaning is not possible, the items should be disposed of by contractor. 3

15 Can the government provide a pest trouble call frequency sheet so we can formulate a maintenance plan beyond the initial rodent eradication?

This plan existed before COVID but because of the contractor not longer reported each incident in a manual in the GSA office, all requests to the pest control contractor have been communicated through emails from one of four GSA property managers.

Is there a location to get hot water on each floor?

Yes - there are janitor closets located on each floor that have hot water available. 3

17 Are the only areas expected to be cleaned carpeted? If so could you provide the approx. sqft of uncarpeted areas to be cleaned like restrooms and breakrooms.

Correct. Carpet is the only floor finish that we expect to clean.
