AMENDMENT NO. 7
Amendment No. 7 is hereby issued to respond to the following RFI’s:
87. Specification Section notes the Equipment Supplier is responsible for the nature of the incoming water and notes additional equipment is required for seasonal variations will be provided at no charge. As there has been no water analysis provided and there is no way to speculate regarding seasonal changes.
Please provide the necessary water analysis of the existing incoming water to be treated. Also please provide a written description of the extent of “additional equipment” to be provided at no charge.
Response: This specification section does not apply to our project and can be ignored.
88. The majority of windows (167 out of 169) are fixed windows. Only mark W10b (qty. 2) & W14 (qty. 2) have casements. As per the below, we cannot find on any of the drawings for the NX- 3800 Series fixed windows that have the glass specified of “3/8” FT(OUTER)”. Please clarify.
Response: Offerors may propose any window system that meets the project specifications.
89. The only NX-3800 fixed windows we found with FBC HVHZ approval with the below search query for Kawneer was for Kawneer’s Traco TR-3800, which may only be installed up to 30 ft above grade. The 4th floor and maybe 3rd floor may exceed that. Glass make up below. Please clarify.
Response: The contractor shall provide window systems that conform to all project performance specifications. Window systems listed in the specifications as basis of design are recommendations only. Regarding the window height limitation of the NX3800, the contractor may consider using the Kawneer 1600 system with applied muntins or an alternate manufacturer, provided that the selected window system meets all required performance criteria.
The date and time for receipt of proposals remains unchanged.
