About this file
This document summarizes a solicitation for architect-engineer services and a related federal contract opportunity. The General Services Administration is seeking design and construction services for a major modernization project at the Silvio V. Mollo Federal Building in New York, New York. The project involves building temporary swing space at the nearby Jacobs K. Javits Federal Building, fully renovating the Mollo building while it is empty, and relocating tenants to the completed swing space. Interested firms must submit qualifications by November 19, 2019 to be considered for the design contract, which is expected to be awarded in mid-July 2020. The estimated construction costs are $41 million for the swing space and $185 million for the Mollo renovation. Primary client agencies are the U.S. Attorney's Office, U.S. Marshals Service, and GSA. The selected architect-engineer firm will be responsible for design through construction administration for all three project phases.
