Scope of Services

The selected General Contractors will be expected to provide a full range of construction services for a complete building as documented in the construction drawings and specifications. Construction documents will be released to the qualified Contractors at the time of bid per the anticipated schedule in this document. Construction services will include, but not necessarily be limited to, demolition as required for the scope of work, site/civil, architecture, structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, and technology systems.

New additions will include office space, additional classrooms, and athletic rooms including wrestling and dance. Renovations to the existing building will include relocation of the main office to the new space, relocation of counseling offices to the former main office, remodeling of the culinary kitchen/lab spaces, remodeling of the commons and cafeteria space, remodeling classroom space to special education classrooms and refreshing of finishes in portions of the existing building.

Foundations and underground structures on the site have been demolished and the excavation filled with compacted, engineered fill to approximately one foot minus of the existing grade.

The replacement school is based on a prototype elementary school plan recently completed for the Davis School District for Bountiful Elementary School. The two-story building is composed of two classroom wings, administrative offices, commons/dining area, multi-purpose room, media center, and back-of-house space. Building exterior is composed of a structural brick, metal panel, ACM, glass, and EIFS building envelope surrounding a steel frame. Mechanical systems are internal to the building. Site work will include, but not be limited to, demolition of remaining paved areas on the east and west sides of the grass field, new paved and turf play areas, playground equipment, fencing, site paving, and landscaping. GSD will hire an irrigation contractor, prior to start of construction, to replace the existing manual field irrigation with an automated system which will include irrigation for the entire site. Upon award of this contract, the irrigation contractor will be assigned to the successful contractor as a subcontractor to complete the work.
