About this file

This is a Certificate of Compliance document issued by the Office of the County Auditor Compliance Review Office for Jackson County, Missouri. The certificate serves as a mandatory requirement for all vendors conducting business with Jackson County and must be submitted with any bid response. The document establishes that vendors must meet specific compliance criteria, including current tax payment status with Jackson County and attestation to Chapter 6 of the Jackson County Code, which mandates non-discriminatory practices and equal employment opportunity standards for contractors. Vendors are required to submit their Certificate of Compliance Application at least five business days prior to the bid response deadline to allow sufficient processing time, with no guarantee of issuance if this timeline is not followed. Applications can be completed through the Jackson County Compliance Review Office website at https://www.jacksongov.org/Government/Departments/Compliance-Review-Office.

Failure to obtain and submit a valid Certificate of Compliance may result in automatic rejection of a bid response. The compliance verification process requires that vendors either be duly listed and assessed on Jackson County tax rolls without delinquent tax payments or demonstrate that they had no property subject to taxation by Jackson County as of December 31st of the previous year. The Compliance Review Office can be contacted for questions via email at cro@jacksongov.org or by phone at 816-881-3302.
