Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond from an acceptable surety or a certified check equal to 10 percent of the total bid amount, made payable to the City of York. The bid form specifies that bidders must have examined all contract documents and addenda, visited the project site, and be familiar with all conditions and requirements of the work, including required permits. Bidders must agree that the bid will remain open for 23 days after bid opening, and the selected bidder must sign the agreement and submit any other required documents within 7 days after the Owner's Notice of Award.
