A. Scope of Work:

The following Scope of Work defines the extended installation necessary to facilitate the installation of a Siemens Medical Solutions Intevo system located in Room #1 (2D-165 Downtown) at VA Augusta Downtown location and is based on Siemens typical drawing # 13041, Siemens final site-specific drawing project # 603891 dated 08/14/19. This SOW defines the work necessary to design and build a new exam (procedure) room and control room to accommodate the installation of the Siemens Intevo system detailed in typical drawing #13041. This SOW also defines the work (site prep) necessary to accommodate the re-location (with room 2D-165) of an existing Siemens Symbia nuclear camera based on typical drawing # 06112 and Siemens final site-specific drawing project # 1800173 dated 01/17/18.

The proposed scope of work includes demolition of the existing walls inside the exam room for a new lay-out to accept a Siemens Symbia Intevo. The work will include removal of the exam room drywall, walls, flooring, and ceiling. Removal of the existing tile on the common corridor wall is also included. Some existing framing is to remain and new framing will be added. The existing ductwork for HVAC will be reworked and approximately two (2) tons of air added to the area. Install a new conduit and one electrical feeder not to exceed 175’ for the proposed Exam Room and Control Room equipment requirements. Install sound batt insulation in all new Exam Room walls. Work includes removal / elimination of one existing door (that area shall be part of the solid wall and requires lead shielding). Install 1/16” lead to seven feet (7’) above finished floor in the new Exam Room. Install new drywall to the walls to above ceiling height and in the Exam Room, Control Room, and new wall at exterior of the Exam Room. Install two new 1/16” lead equivalent view windows with frames.
