About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q/A) file for a Pacific District Document Shredding Services solicitation issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs National Cemetery Administration. The solicitation seeks multiple Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs) for document shredding services, with no incumbent contract and no minimum order quantities. Key requirements include on-site shredding to NIST standards using crosscut shredders that produce particles no larger than 1mm x 5mm, with services to be performed outside of cemetery grounds.
The procurement emphasizes competitive pricing, geographic coverage, and full compliance with Statement of Work requirements. Vendors are required to complete a price list for interested cemeteries, with more extensive area coverage viewed favorably. No specific training or badging is required, and the service involves monthly document destruction with potential daily burial-related routing adjustments. The solicitation (Solicitation Number: 36C78625Q50182) allows for multiple award BPAs and seeks vendors who can provide efficient, secure document destruction services across various cemetery locations.
