Contractor Questions in reference to solicitation 36C78620Q00205 - Baltimore Fence Repair
1. Will the contractors have access to the area where the big tree is down in the townhouse area?
Answer: If the contractor can arrange access with the HOA of the Townhouse community then yes. If they cannot then they will have to work within the confines of the cemetery
2. And, can the contractor mulch the small portion and dump them in the area?
Answer: The contractor can dispose of the tree however he/she sees fit. Whether it is mulching or hauling out big pieces of the tree. However, they need to dispose of the tree remains elsewhere besides the cemetery.
3. Are the trees numbered in white from 1-14 (#s 6-8 shown below) to be removed as part of the project?
Answer: Number trees are not part of the project. Only trees to be removed are those directly impacting repairs to the fence.
4. There are two section of fencing indicated by the purple arrow in the photo below which require some repair. Should they be included in the scope of work?
Answer: Provide additional pricing
5. The removal of the tree and debris shown in Photo #5 of the attachment located in Section 3 will require some equipment. Can we use the grassy area along Frederick Avenue just beyond the columbarium (see yellow arrow in photo above) as a staging area to get the equipment offloaded and up the hill, assuming either the soil is dry or plywood is put down to avoid damaging the grass?
Answer: No. That is a new burial area and cannot be utilized for a staging area.
6. The RFQ states the two gates will be located in Sections G & H, but all section references are numeric. Please clarify?
Answer: Area 1 (aerial image) – Section H Area 2 (aerial image) – Section G
7. Will we have permission to access Sections 3, 4, 5 & 6 from the residential development backing up against the fence?
Answer: The NCA cannot guarantee access through the development. Contractors are responsible to obtain permission from development residents, if permission cannot be obtained prior to bidding contractors shall assume work must be completed from cemetery side only.
