About this file
This document is a comprehensive product specification and submittal package for a Liebert eXM Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) system with associated equipment and services for VA Medical EHRM Infrastructure Upgrades.
The project involves procurement of two (2) Liebert eXM 150 kVA/150 kW UPS units (Model 51SA150HAA00SCV) configured for 480VAC input and 208/120VAC output through step-down transformation. Key system components include: two external battery cabinets with East Penn HR5000 batteries (36 jars each, 4,620 lbs. each); a maintenance bypass cabinet with three-breaker configuration; an 880mm distribution cabinet with 600A, 84-position panelboard and six 60A and 70A breakers; and a spill containment system (EnviroGuard HAWK 44"x168" with 60 mil liner). The UPS operates with transformer-free architecture, 65kAIC rating, unity power factor support, and energy optimization mode. Battery backup provides 22 minutes at full load (beginning of life) and 16 minutes (end of life at 125% load). The system includes Intellislot Unity Card communications (SNMP, HTTP, BACnet, Modbus), a Liebert IntelliSlot Relay Card for remote alarm monitoring, and optional remote status panel (Pythia CS0-RSP-UPS).
Startup services include 24x7 availability with 2-3 week advance notice to Vertiv (816-246-2065). Factory burn-in testing (8 hours with data logging every 30 minutes), one day of site acceptance testing with load bank, and four hours of on-site customer training are included as standard startup services. The equipment is Buy American Act compliant with FOB Destination terms. Documentation provided includes detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, equipment outline drawings with center of gravity specifications, technical specifications, control wiring diagrams, maintenance bypass cabinet circuit breaker schedules, and efficiency curves. The project specifies specs sections 26 33 53 and 26 26 00, with Ace Electric as the designated purchaser and Data Center Systems, Inc. as the submittal provider (DCSI Job #401599, dated December 22, 2022).

1. NOMINAL INPUT CURRENT (CONSIDERED CONTINUOUS) IS
BASED ON FULL RATED OUTPUT LOAD. MAXIMUM
CURRENT INCLUDES NOMINAL INPUT CURRENT AND
MAXIMUM BATTERY RECHARGE CURRENT (CONSIDERED
NONCONTINUOUS). CONTINUOUS AND NONCONTINUOUS
CURRENT ARE DEFINED IN NEC 100. RECOMMENDED
OVERCURRENT PROTECTION IS BASED ON 80% RATED
DEVICES. * THE RECOMMENDED OVERCURRENT
PROTECTION REPRESENTS 125% OF NOMINAL FULL LOAD
CURRENT (CONTINUOUS) PER NEC 215.
2. MAXIMUM INPUT CURRENT IS CONTROLLED BY THE
CURRENT LIMIT SETTING.
3. RECOMMENDED AC INPUT EXTERNAL OVERCURRENT
PROTECTION IS BASED ON 80% RATED DEVICES AND
MAXIMUM INPUT CURRENT LIMIT SETTING.
4. RECOMMENDED AC OUTPUT EXTERNAL OVERCURRENT
PROTECTION IS BASED ON 80% RATED DEVICES AND FULL
RATED OUTPUT CURRENT.
5. NOMINAL BATTERY VOLTAGE IS SHOWN AT 2.0 VOLTS /
CELL.
6. INPUT POWER FACTOR OF 0.99 IS USED FOR THE
CALCULATIONS.

Jumper Settings The card has five jumpers, P3 through P7. Each jumper connects two pins. By default, all five jumpers have shunts installed. The two pins are shunted together to provide the functions (see PIN CONFIGURATION table on the previous page), allowing relay commons to be tied together.
NOTE: The jumpers should be removed if any external voltage source may be connected to the relay.
Removing the shunt from any two pins breaks the connection between the relay commons so they are not tied together.
