About this file
This is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) document from a federal contract opportunity (36C26226Q0698) addressing vendor inquiries regarding negative pressure exhaust fan maintenance and inspection services at a VA facility.
The document responds to four vendor questions concerning the scope of work and service requirements. Regarding equipment details, the Government directs vendors to reference Attachment Eight for comprehensive information on the seventeen negative pressure exhaust fans, including manufacturer, model number, serial number, and filter specifications. For accessibility, all fans are located on the facility roof with VA staff available to assist contractors; no ladder, lift, fall protection, or special access requirements exist. Previous inspection, maintenance, and service records are provided in the attached Negative Pressure Fan Inspection Records. On the critical matter of scope and pricing, the Government clarifies that any corrective repairs or replacement parts identified during performance that exceed the base contract award must be addressed through a separate contract modification issued by the Contracting Officer prior to execution; such work is not included in the contractor's fixed price.
