The VA La Jolla facility consists of five Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (small quantity generators) and a main hospital (large quantity generator) requiring handling of 55-gallon drums, 5-gallon carboys, and various colored bags. Contractor personnel must obtain VA-issued PIV cards and complete Environmental Annual Training, Safety Orientation, DOT certification, and Code of Conduct training, including background checks and fingerprinting. Payment terms are Net 30 upon completion of satisfactory work. Option years are not guaranteed and will be exercised based on continued government need. The contractor must maintain compliance with existing spill response procedures and handle case-by-case newly introduced waste streams in accordance with chemical inventory protocols.

Our company services multiple DLA contracts, and they are issued as open solicitations for the above reason.
ANSWER: The Hazardous Waste company is responsible for disposing of waste. Our current contract is self-sufficient in collection and disposal of the waste utilizing their own vehicles to transport waste collected.
