About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details the demolition and replacement of the hemodialysis water treatment system at the Department of Veterans Affairs San Francisco facility, located in Building 203, Room 3A-48A. The project involves replacing the existing MAR COR CWP Dialysis Water System with a new B Braun USA Hemodialysis Aquaboss Water Purification System, with specific requirements including: removing existing systems, providing backup systems, installing pre-treatment components, connecting utilities, painting, and ensuring minimal disruption to clinical operations.
Key project specifications include working hours from Monday-Saturday (1930 to 0500), with a 90-day project duration starting from the Notice to Proceed, and a total of 11 federal holidays to be considered. The contractor must have 15 years of experience in specialized medical equipment demolition, provide a 12-month warranty, and adhere to strict security and safety requirements. Critical tasks involve installing seismic bracing, connecting water and electrical utilities, providing a temporary deionizer tank, and ensuring water quality meets AAMI standards. The project requires careful coordination with VA staff, B Braun, and engineering maintenance to minimize impact on patient care areas.
