RFQ due date: September 8, 2021, Time: 3:00 PM PST
Rico Johnson Contract Officer Question and Answers
Q-1: Site visit: How do we go about requesting a site visit?
A-1: Site visit is scheduled for:
Date: August 30, 2021
Time: 9:00 AM PST
Location: In front of the hospital, near the sign/steps. Please see the attachment, the area is highlighted in the light blue rectangle.
Note: Parking: There are two different parking areas for contractors (please see the red and purple boxes on the attachment). For the parking lot in red – only the 2nd level. For the parking lot in purple – all floors are ok. Ground parking are only for veterans/patients.
COVID: Face masks are to be worn (non-valved), the facility will provide a face mask. A series of questions will also be asked prior to entrance related to COVID. If they’ve downloaded the VA screening app to their phone, this can be used also and shown to the screener.
Q-2: Equipment:
· Requesting the kW sizes for the generators (portable kW sizes are listed)
· Confirmation of either diesel or gas for each unit
· Engine Models/SN? To estimate oil quantities and filters we will need the engine data as well.
· Scope: Some of the units (highlighted below) do not identify annual load bank testing. Please advise why load bank testing is not required for those units. (Monthly testing might be being completed)
A-2: Attachment 1 & 2 has all info they are requesting. All generators are Diesel fuel. As far as Load testing, we load test each generator Monthly under building load, Remote load bank, or a combination of both. Our load banking is for no less than 30 minutes under at least 30% load. Only generator #7 does not meet this requirement. It is the only generator requiring an Annual load bank. All other are load tested Tri annually.
