About this file

This is an amendment to a previous combined solicitation for EMS Housekeeping Services at the Department of Veterans Affairs George E. Wahlen VA Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. The amendment clarifies equipment provision responsibilities between the Government and Contractor. Specifically, the Government will provide all housekeeping equipment including vacuums and shampooers, as well as floor wax for stripping and waxing operations. However, the Contractor is responsible for providing equipment necessary for the stripping and waxing of floors, as this equipment has not been replaced by the Government. The solicitation is set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBC) and uses Product Service Code S201 and NAICS Code 561720.

The solicitation number is 36C25926Q0071, issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office NCO 19 in Greenwood Village, Colorado. The Contracting Officer is Heather Chase (heather.chase2@va.gov). All offers must be emailed to the Contracting Officer and received no later than 5:00 PM Mountain Time on February 17, 2026. The original solicitation referenced a response date of February 13, 2026, with an optional site visit scheduled for February 6, 2026, at 11:00 AM MST at the facility's main lobby in Building 14. The contract covers a base year plus two option years for janitorial services at the Salt Lake City VA Medical Center.

DESCRIPTION

There has been some confusion regarding the below question and answer:

Q. It seems that the Government is providing everything except for equipment, is that correct?

A. Equipment will also be provided by the government

It has been confirmed the Government will provide all equipment (vacuums, shampooers, etc.) except that necessary for the stripping and waxing of floors. The Government will provide floor wax, however, that particular equipment has not been replaced and therefore is the Contractor’s responsibility to provide.

Reminder, all offers are to be emailed to heather.chase2@va.gov and received no later than 5:00pm MT, February 17, 2026.
