About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document related to solicitation 36C25925Q0085 for hazardous materials cleanup at Building 42 of the Sheridan VA Medical Center. The document includes aerial imagery showing the location of an exterior oil/water separator approximately 15 feet in front of the building.
The Q&A provides key details about the scope: approximately 80 gallons of motor oil, 40 gallons of hydraulic fluid, and 30 gallons of ethylene glycol were spilled in bulk storage containers. The total building area is 1,542 square feet including a loft. The VA has already removed several items including a Kubota UTV, computers/electronics, and a toolbox. The building's electrical has been shut down and LOTO applied. The contractor will be responsible for all debris disposal, including cleaning/disposal of two 75-gallon interior sumps and one 300-gallon exterior separator. The flooring is vinyl plank, not wood. The roll-up door has been removed. The VA will provide Safety Data Sheets for the hazardous materials involved.
