1. Names of the manufacturers of the Access Points. Like Cisco, Aruba, Juniper. Each manufacturer has a different “make-up” on how their AP’s are configured.

Configuration of the access points (AP’s) is not required.

2. Provide a list of all the devices that are in scope for the services. All make, models, and quantities so we know what we are working with. So, rather than just “AP70” or “AP-XYZ”, what is the actual vendor part number, and quantity? There are so many variations of manufacturer model numbers, we don’t want to give the end-user a general product model, but with the wrong specifications needed for their overall solution.

As noted in the statement of work, “Access Points shall be provided by the VA”.

3. Where conduit is required, will new conduit and junction boxes need to be painted?

If existing conduits and junction boxes, in the area, are painted the conduits and junction boxes will need to be painted to match.

4. In instances where existing technology conduit exists (and assuming there is adequate space) may we use these existing pathways?

Assume all conduits will need to be dedicated to the AP installation and may not share conduit with any other service.

5. Please confirm the following quantities are correct:

a. Patch Panels provided by the contractor: 4 CONFIRMED

b. Wall Brackets provided by the contractor: 6 CONFIRMED

c. Protective Guards provided by the contractor: 2 CONFIRMED

6. The solicitation indicates that work hours are from 8am to 430pm. Please confirm if any areas of this project will require off-hour work.

While after hours/weekend work is not anticipated, conditions may necessitate it to complete the project.

7. Please confirm if the Superintendent can “dual-hat” the role of SSHO, or if the VA will require two separate personnel for these duties.

The Superintendent shall not have the role of SSHO.

8. Please specify what, if any, infectious control measures/requirements will be required on this project.

Infection control requirements will vary throughout the project areas. The contractor should be prepared to follow Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) guidelines up to and including Class IV.

9. Attachment 4 – Specifications, Section 01 00 00, paragraph 1.3.A indicates that we are responsible for “Installation of Power Outlets” – please confirm that there are no power requirements included in this project, and that the scope is limited to low voltage CAT 6A (and associated pathways).

There are no power outlets required for this project.

10. Solicitation (page 11 of 69) 1.5B states that “Quotes shall be submitted via email to Jared.Detton@va.gov” – but in the following paragraph it states “…Submit quote to: Chirstina.Beeler-Blackburn@va.gov”. Please confirm the correct point of contact for submittal of quotes is Christina (per the site visit).

The POC for this project is Christina Beeler-Blackburn. All questions and offers should be submitted via email to Christina.Beeler-Blackburn@va.gov.

11. If a bid bond ends up being required (due to our quote coming in above $150,000) – please confirm that an electronic copy of the bid bond (submitted with the proposal) will be acceptable.

An electronic copy can be accepted with the offer submission. The Government also asks for an original paper copy to be sent via mail to:

a. Department of Veterans Affairs; NCO 19, 6162 S Willow St, Ste 300, Greenwood Village, CO 80111

12. Bldg 50 is not on the action points locations list. Are there any remarks on AP09 in building 50?

Attachment 1: List of Access Point Locations and Site Prep Requirements lists all AP installation locations required for this project.

13. In the SOW 1.2 A, where are the locations for the power outlets?

There are no power outlets required for this project.

14. Part of the construction of Building 7 appears to be different from the rest of the structure. Can you describe the difference.
