About this file

This document is an amendment to a solicitation for janitorial services. The amendment provides answers to vendor questions regarding the required minimum wage for janitors, which has been increased to $15 per hour plus health and welfare benefits by recent Executive Order. The solicitation is seeking a firm fixed price, non-personal services contract to provide aseptic custodial services at the Oklahoma City VA Health Care System facilities, including the main medical center in Oklahoma City, the community-based outpatient clinic in Lawton, and the outpatient clinic in Stillwater. The selected contractor will be responsible for managing, supervising, and providing all labor to clean the interior spaces at these locations using aseptic techniques.

Amendment #3 Questions from Vendor(s) with the VA’s response in red.

1. As per the Executive Order within the Wage Determinations, the minimum pay rate for the job classification 11150 is $15.00 per hour plus the Health and Welfare not the $11.60 per hour listed on page three, within the wage determination listing of “Occupation Codes”. Is this correct? Yes, this is correct.

Because of Executive Order 14026, contracts entered into after January 30,2022 (such as this contract) contractors must pay at least $15.00 per hour plus Health & Welfare. Even though “11150-Janitor” states $11.60*** per hour the (notice the three ***) Executive Order states $15.00 per hour.

This pertains to all three Wage Determinations (locations) associated within this solicitation/contract.

Any specific questions related to Wage Determinations should be referred to the US Department of Labor.

Information below (shown as an example) was pulled from Wage Determination No.: 2015-5315 Rev 17, Dated 03/15/2022.
