“Void” the re-certification

For door 2D18 install per AE response. For door 2D21 install per AE response. Conflict resolution of hardware was called out in spec section 08 71 00 1.6.B. Double doors at C288A do not need card reader. Door ST02-8 needs card readers on both sides. Entering from stairwell requires card reader to unlock door. Exiting to stairwell requires deactivating local alarm for enough time to exit without triggering it. -Alonso Acosta, COR @VALL 11-29-17

B. Locate hardware per SDI-100 and applicable building, fire, life-safety, accessibility, and security codes.

1. Notify Architect of code conflicts before ordering material.

2. Locate levers, key cylinders, t-turn pieces, touchbars, and other operable portions of latching hardware between 864 and 1118 mm (34 and 44 inches) above the finished floor, per ABAAS Section 404.2.7 and IBC Section 1008.1.9.2.

3. Where new hardware is to be installed near existing doors/hardware scheduled to remain, match locations of existing hardware.

C. Overhead stops: Before installing, determine proposed locations of furniture items, fixtures, and other items to be protected by the overhead stop's action.

3.3 INSTALLATION

A. Install hardware per manufacturer’s instructions and recommendations. Do not install surface-mounted items until finishes have been completed on substrate. Set units level, plumb and true to line and location. Adjust and reinforce attachment substrate for proper installation and operation. Remove and reinstall or replace work deemed defective by

3. Use manufacturers' fasteners furnished with hardware items, or submit Request for Substitution with Architect.

4. Replace fasteners damaged by power-driven tools.

B. Locate floor stops no more than 101.6 mm (4 inches) from walls and not within paths of travel. See Paragraph 2.2 regarding hinge widths, door should be well clear of point of wall reveal. Point of door contact no closer to the hinge edge than half the door width.

Where situation is questionable or difficult, contact Architect for direction.

C. Core concrete for exterior door stop anchors. Set anchors in approved non-shrink grout.

D. Locate overhead stops for minimum 90 degrees and maximum allowable degree of swing.

Security Solutions Proposal LA16-047 CO3 December 6, 2017

Proprietary Information Prepared for VA Loma Linda – Herman Construction

Use or disclosure of data contained on this sheet is subject to the restriction on the title page of this proposal

Schedule I

Scope of work

Security Solutions offers to provide equipment, installation, termination and programming, per RFI#140 response for (1) In/Out card reader and (1) Local alarm to be installed at Stairwell ST2-8. The card reader installed within the stairwell will allow access employees using their PIV badge. The card reader installed within the suite will connect to a local alarm that will sound and will send an alarm event to the Police department notifying them that a person without access has opened that door. Door

C288A does not require a card reader, so a credit is included for that door, as requested by VA Loma Linda:
