About this file

This document is Amendment 0001 to Solicitation 36C25626R0035, issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 16 on April 28, 2026, for Project 580-23-108 B100 Sewer Replacement. The amendment provides clarifications to the original solicitation and is addressed to all offerors and bidders. The proposal due date and time remain unchanged.

The clarifications address 14 key questions regarding project scope and requirements. Notable clarifications include: no firestopping specifications will be provided as no firewall penetrations are expected; sanitary sewer piping replacement is limited to interstitial areas only; any wall or ceiling damage caused by the contractor during installation must be repaired; there is no asbestos in Building 100, but any hazardous materials encountered will be treated as differing site conditions requiring contract modifications; a superintendent may serve dual or triple roles covering Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) and Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) requirements; the issued drawing set is confirmed as the latest and complete set meeting current VA Technical Information Letter guidelines; Past Performance Questionnaires (PPQs) are not required but if submitted will count toward page limits; the laydown yard will be located within the VA site with flexibility for contractor material storage in the interstitial; and replacement piping slopes shall follow International Plumbing Code (IPC) guidelines with minimum slopes of 1/4 inch per foot for pipes 2.5 inches or smaller, 1/8 inch per foot for pipes 3 to 6 inches, and 1/16 inch per foot for pipes 8 inches or larger.
