About this file

This is Amendment 0001 to solicitation 36C25225B0010 for VMU Equipment Tie-in at Jesse Brown VA Medical Center in Chicago, IL, issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs Great Lakes Acquisition Center. The amendment removes bid guarantee and bond requirements, changes the project magnitude to between $25,000-$100,000, and provides responses to bidder questions about using existing disconnects for condensate pump tie-ins, installing outlets, abandoning existing ductwork, and establishing Construction Infection Control Risk Assessment as Type C Medium Risk Group - Class III.

The amendment includes clarifications about electrical requirements, noting that contractors can use existing abandoned electrical disconnects with 480V supply available in the 8th floor mechanical room. It maintains the original public bid opening date and requires the inclusion of VAAR 852.219-75 VA Notice of Limitations on Subcontracting certification with bid submissions. A pre-bid site visit sign-in sheet from February 12, 2025, is attached to the amendment.
