About this file

This document is a Standard Form 30 Amendment of Solicitation/Modification of Contract issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 10 in Indianapolis, Indiana. The amendment (number 0003) is focused on correcting a previously posted Statement of Work (SOW), specifically modifying paragraph 5B related to a Medical Air Compressor Unit replacement.

The key modification changes the specifications for the Medical Air Compressor Unit in location B330-BC120, updating the power configuration from 460V-1PH-10HP to 230/460V-3PH-15HP. The revised requirements maintain NFPA 99 compliance and include detailed specifications for the medical air unit, such as a minimum 120 PSIG discharge pressure, dual desiccant air dryers, high-efficiency filters, and specific installation requirements like gas-specific demand check fittings, correct piping materials, and a valve sample port for medical air sampling. The amendment does not alter the solicitation's opening date and emphasizes that all other terms and conditions remain unchanged.

Previous SOW paragraph 5 B:

B. Replace Medical Air Compressor Unit and corresponding components in B330-BC120 with equivalent skid mounted NFPA 99, 2024 compliant triplex oil-less scroll Medical Air unit. (460V -1PH- 10HP). The Medical Air Unit shall have a minimum pressure rating of 120 PSIG discharge pressure. Dual desiccant air dryers with an integral demand‐based purge saving control. Each dryer individually sized per unit for peak demand and capable of producing a 10° F pressure dew point. High efficiency coalescing pre‐filter rated for 0.01 micron on each dryer with automatic drain and element change indicator. Particulate final line filters rated 0.01 micron on each dryer with element change indicator. (Refer to exhibit 4)

1. All pressure-sending devices and main line pressure gauges downstream of the source valves shall be provided with gas-specific demand check fitting to facilitate service testing or replacement. Pressure switch and gauge are currently on Hansen fitting and shall be replaced.

. (NFPA 99, 2024 Ed., 5.1.8.2.3 )

2. Correct piping materials shall be used to connect all components (copper, brass, or stainless steel). Remove all associated threaded fittings and nipples. (NFPA 99, 2024).

3. A DN8 (NPS 1/4”) valve sample port shall be installed downstream of the main source shutoff valve to allow for sampling of medical air. (NFPA 99,2024 ED., 5.1.3.6.3.9(K)).
