INFORMATION NEEDED:
1. Is there Glycol in the piping for the base bid condenser?
2. Is there a warranty in place on the existing roof that will need modification for the new HVAC unit? If so what is the name of the roofing contractor that has this warranty?
3. Can all this work be performed during regular working hours?
4. Is there any asbestos present in renovation areas that we need to be made aware of?
5. Is it correct that the York condensing unit (located on grade) will be removed and the new condensing unit is to be installed on the 2nd floor roof?
6. During the walk-thru an existing Carrier rooftop unit was observed; however, the plans do not show this unit. Is there any work required at this location?
7. An insulation specification was not provided in the bidding documents. Is this available?

1. Yes.
2. The waarnty for the roof is expired. There is a project pending to repair the roof.
3. Yes, during winter and cooler weather.
4. Yes ,and reports are available prior to contruction.
5. Correct, the new unit will be placed on the second floor roof.
6. No, that unit services the eye clinic and is not part of this project.

INFORMATION NEEDED:
1. Is there a bid schedule form, and full description of the base bid, and alternate?
2. Is there a warranty on the roof, and what is the composition of the structure below the membrane? What type of membrane and thickness is the current roof? Is the roof structure capable of handling the additional load of the new condensing unit, or do we need to provide structural analysis and load engineering?
3. Sheet A101 note #6 indicates for “existing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, low voltage, fire protection, or fire alarm devices located behind new chase to be relocated to face of new chase.” Please provide details and plans on what exactly needs to be moved or relocated within this chase.
4. What front end software is utilized for the building management system? Please confirm if all new equipment needs
5. bacnet cards, hardwired points, or both?
6. Does the concrete at the existing condenser need to be removed after demolition, or can it remain in place?
7. Is there a preferred time of year the VA is requesting the install of these units to happen? How long can the chiller system, and lab air handler system be shut down in order to perform the work on these units?
8. What is the period of performance for the project? Page 1 of the IFB indicates 610 days, however page 5 and 6 indicates 225 days.

1-No Bid Schedule or Alternate Form Available.
2-The VA can provide the roof warranty, composition, and membrane thickness of the roofing material. The roof structure can support the condensing unit, additional analysis is not anticipated.
3-Move electrical, Anticipate moving a data outlet near floor (out of view).
4-The existing software is EcoStruxure Building Operation Software from Schneider Electric. The graphics are HTML 5. New Equipment shall include any necessary accessories to fully communicate with the existing EcoStructure Building operation system. The HVAC equipment in the Ft. Wayne campus shall communicate with the Server System located at the Marion Campus, Building 174. Provide all points listed in the temperature control drawings on drawing M-502. Contact Kelly Boocher at Havel, an EMCOR Company 260-497-1546 for more information about the Control System.
5-The existing unit and condenser pad shall be removed.
6-Yes, Winter. How long can the chiller system, and lab air handler system be shut down. Until complete during winter months.
7-What is the period of performance 7 months or 230 days.
