INFORMATION NEEDED:
1) As you should know they are giving you 360 days to do this job, and they control when you can work .The question becomes if they delay the job for any reason, and the hourly rate goes up, or material goes up how will that be addressed .
2) Hamilton County is now red on COVID 19 health alert, what happens to the job if it goes purple?
3) Since this is a Government Job will our workers be considered essential.
4) What precaution will the VA take to protect our workers from COVID 19, and what do you expect from us as a precaution?
5) Are there any active cases of COVID 19 in the areas of this job?
6) Is there a chance that we may have a demobilization issue in this working hospital environment.
7) The specification and or drawings don't clearly note who is responsible for any miscellaneous repairs made by the contractor. Please advise?
8) There are other trades in the specs table of content, are these part of the solicitation? And if so, we don't see them called out in the specs.
REPLY:
1). Delays will be addressed at the time it is determined there is a delay. It would really depend upon the situation.
2) The Cincinnati VA will make any decisions concerning the delay, stoppage, or suspension of contracting work based on what best protects the patients and staff in the facility.
3) Contracting work was suspended for a period of time prior to June and could be suspended again depending on circumstances.
4) All personnel entering the hospital shall be screened and shall wear a mask until further notice.
5) Work on this job is in the Research building so no known active COVID cases will be in this building.
6) Demobilization may occur depending on circumstances.

7) The contractor shall perform all tasks per the specs and drawings. If unanticipated conditions become known that are within the scope of the project, then a change order may be initiated at the discretion of the CO. The General Notes in the drawings show that the contractor is responsible for patching .
8) The contractor shall perform all tasks per the specs and drawings. Various trades will be required to complete this work.
