1. Are starc panels acceptable for ICRA barriers?

Yes.

2. 01 00 00 1.24 calls for photographic documentation during course of construction. Can this requirement be met by using the photo documentation function available with Procore?

3. 01 00 00 1.25 calls for the use of a project management software which is no longer available. Will

Procore be acceptable in lieu?

Yes, use management software, contractors have been using Procure and or submittal exchange.

4. Spec 01 35 26.1.9.B states that monthly inspections are required by a third-party Certified Safety Professional (CSP). Are these monthly inspections required?

No.

5. If the monthly inspections are required, can they be performed by our Corporate Safety Officer?

Monthly inspections not required but safety inspections should be provided daily.

6. Spec 09 51 00 2.1 calls for vinyl coated clean room ACT but the finish schedule on sheet AI601 calls for RADAR CLIMA PLUS HIGH CAC & NRC. Please confirm the correct ACT system to use.

RADAR CLIMA PLUS HIGH CAC.

7. General note #13 on sheet A-001 calls for all work to be performed after hours. Is this correct?

COR may make allowances for some work but plan/bid for after-hours work.

8. General note #17 on sheet A-001 says the VA will identify artwork to be removed and reinstalled by the GC. Can these items be identified during bidding so an accurate cost can be determined?

No. Take photographs with context.

9. Demo note #8 on sheet A-001 calls for existing corner guards to be removed and reinstalled with new covering. Please confirm the design intent. Are the existing corner guard brackets to be removed and reinstalled with new covers or is the existing bracket to remain and new covers installed after construction is complete?

The guard is removed to finish the walls. Corner guards to receive new covers. Remove if wallpaper behind, leave if paint.

10. Plans identify Areas “A” and “B”. Are these areas separate phases to be performed at different times or is it all one phase?

They are different building zones and are broken into 2 groups for graphic purposes.

11. Key Note #02 on sheet AD102 calls for removal of vinyl wall protection. Is this vinyl wall protection located on all walls identified by note #02?

12. Key Note #02 on sheet AD102 calls for removal of vinyl wall protection. Is this vinyl wall protection a wainscot or full height?

Full height. 97%; 3% just wainscot.

13. Sheet AD102 on sheet AD102 shows expansion joint covers on the plan, but do not identify them with a keyed note. Is this expansion joint to be replaced?

Clean & Keep.

14. Key Note #04 on sheet AD102 calls for removal of floor/wall expansion joint. Is the intention to replace the entire assembly or just the exposed metal cover?

Clean & Keep.

15. Key Note #04 on sheet AD102 says to verify existing blocking for hand and bumper rails are still in place and secure. The GC can verify this once on site, but the cost to cut drywall, secure existing/install new blocking, and patch drywall will not be included. If needed, this work will be a different existing condition and shall require an executed MOD.

If the blocking exists, it will be a metal plate in the wall.

16. Please confirm whether the existing blocking for handrails and bumper rails are to be replaced or reused.

Reused.

17. General Note A on sheet AD102 calls for existing fire alarm, PA and security systems to be removed and reinstalled in their original location. However, General Note A on sheet AD112 calls for existing fire alarm, PA and security systems to be suspended in place, and protected during construction. Please confirm which is correct?

Suspend in place.

18. General Note B on sheet AD102 calls for existing HVAC diffusers to be removed and discarded.

However, General Note B on sheet AD112 calls for existing HVAC to be suspended in place and protected during construction. Please confirm which is correct, do the HVAC diffusers and registers get removed and replaced or do they get reused?

Replaced – old diffusers in new CLS.

19. General Note C on sheet AD112 calls for existing fire sprinkler heads to remain but to be centered to the new ACT layout. The layout of the new grid could mean that no sprinkler heads get relocated or it could meant that they all get relocated. Will the GOV entertain revising this note to state something like “assume 50% of sprinkler heads to be relocated” so all bidders are bidding apples-to-apples?

50 % Seems right.

20. General Note A on sheet AD112 calls for existing bulkheads and soffits to remain, and the notes on plan 2/AD112 says existing light alcove is to remain (which consists of bulkheads and soffits).

However, General Note D on sheet AD112 calls for the existing ceiling at light alcove to be removed. Please confirm the design intent at the light alcove.

Keep bulkhead-paint color. The Ceiling inside the raised area needs to be replaced with the rest of the ceilings.

21. Elevations on sheets AI401 and AI402 shows wall mounted items such as wayfinder, thermostat, gas monitor, etc. Are these items all existing to remain, existing to be removed and reinstalled, or new?

In some cases, the cover can be removed but the device should remain. Signage should be removed and reinstalled.

22. Some of these items are at locations of new wood veneer wall panels. Will these items such as wayfinders need to be removed and reinstalled on top of the wood panels?

Yes – Wilsonart Portobello Walnut.

23. Key note #09 on elevation 10/AI401 calls for plastic laminate/wood veneer on the wall. However, the elevation does not show the plastic laminate/wood veneer. Please clearly identify on the elevation the width and height of the p-lam/wood veneer.

This element is deleted from project, but fill Check-in window DTL 8/A1401.

24. Key note #09 on elevation 10/AI401 calls for plastic laminate/wood veneer on the wall. However, plastic laminate is a very different product from wood veneer. Please clearly identify this material.

Plastic Laminate Wilsonart Portobello Walnut.

The elevator elements need to sit on the surface of the new plastic laminate.

26. The specs 10 26 00 calls for stainless steel corner guards, however the plans calls for the existing vinyl covers to be replaced. Please confirm the type of corner guard to be used.

No stainless steel guards.

27. Sheet note A on sheet AI401 says to refurbish and paint all existing hollow metal door frames and cased openings in the corridor. Does refurbish mean to patch dents, grind and remove all surface rust, etc? Please clearly define refurbish.

This would be prepared for paint- sand / prime / paint. Rust will need removed if present.

28. Related to Sheet note A, are there any hollow metal doors in the corridor that need to be refurbished and painted as well?

Stairwell & Double Hall Doors.

29. Related to Sheet note A, is this referring to the corridor separation fire doors or each door opening into a room off of the corridor?

Wilsonart Portobello Walnut.

31. Note #2 on sheet M-101 denotes replacement of drinking fountains, however the plan does not appear to show any #2 notes on the plans. Are there any fountains to be replaced?

No.

32. Sheet note A on sheet ED101 to reuse existing wire for existing lighting if it is in good condition and replace if not. This leaves much ambiguity and will result in varying bids for this SOW. Please more clearly define this SOW. For example; “assume all conductors are available for reuse”, or “assume all conductors will be replaced”.

Reuse existing. Assume 25% Will need a new WIP back to junction box.
