About this file
This is an RFI Log documenting questions and responses for a VA Station facility improvement project involving the repainting of all curbs, crosswalks, and roadway markings. The RFI log covers eleven question-and-answer entries received between March 12-18, 2026, addressing project scope, scheduling, and operational requirements.
Key project details include: a 90-calendar-day performance period from Notice to Proceed (not subject to extension per the VA); seven distinct work phases covering various parking areas and roadways across the facility; surface preparation is not required, though work carries a one-year warranty; and payment is made upon work completion and invoice approval by the Contracting Officer Representative (COR). The work must be executed during nights, weekends, and off-peak hours to maintain continuous emergency vehicle access and minimize disruption to the 24/7 healthcare campus operations. Contractors must provide their own power source for additional lighting beyond existing facility lighting and may use only one designated staging area (Lot 23) for material and equipment storage. Scheduling submissions with approximate dates require at least three days' advance notice to stakeholders. The project incorporates seven phases: Main Entrance and ER Parking (Phase 1), Cancer Center Parking Lot (Phase 2), CLC and Building 10 Parking Lots (Phase 3), Buildings 4, 16, and 12 Parking Area including MRI (Phase 4), Perimeter roads, Roundabout, and designated lots (Phase 5), Employee Parking (Phase 6), and Building back sides and dock areas (Phase 7), with detailed phase mapping provided in Amendment 0001 Attachment—Site Layout.
