About this file

This document is a technical datasheet for Wavelynx Technologies' Ethos™ PKI Readers, a line of contactless security readers designed for high-security government environments. The readers are compliant with FIPS 201-2, NIST SP-800-116, and Open Supervised Device Protocol (OSDP), and support multiple card types including PIV, CAC, CIV, and TWIC. Three models are available: Mullion Model ET10, Single Gang Model ET20, and Keypad Model ET25, with part numbers ET10-2PS/3PS, ET20-2PS/3PS, and ET25-2PS/3PS respectively.

Key technical specifications include RF technologies of 13.56 MHz and 125 kHz, read range up to 1.5 inches, voltage of 5-16 V DC, and current ranging from 106-143 mA average. The readers feature accelerometer-based tamper detection, tri-state LED indicators, IP55 rating for indoor/outdoor use, and remote firmware upgradability. Certifications include FCC, IC, CE, UL, and OSDP Verified. The datasheet is dated 04.04.2023 and is marked as "Enterprise & Campus Ready", targeting federal identity, credential, and access management environments.

Text version

Ethos™ PKI Readers Wavelynx Technologies' line of contactless Ethos PKI Readers are designed for the highest of security needs. These readers feature an entirely different type of encryption than our standard readers, enabling government database FIPS 201-2 to verify user identity. Designed for Open Supervised Device Protocol (OSDP), the readers can accommodate Wiegand panel communication to ensure a seamless transition from other credential technologies. This line of readers is fully compliant with the SIA OSDP™ protocol for validation of PKI based Smart Cards. Your user can choose between mullion or single gang mounting options, with option for a backlit metal keypad for durable multi-factor authentication.

Equipped with our patented OSDP Auto-detect feature, these readers enable an extremely cost-effective transition. OSDP secure file transfer functionality ensures remote updates of the readers for disabling proximity card support upon completion of transition or remote firmware updates.
