About this file

This is a Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) work instruction template for shutting down a domestic fire suppression system in Building 100's section 4A to disconnect and relocate fire hose boxes. The template outlines safety procedures including 4 locking points, 2 tagging points per team, and 1 lock required per team. It specifically covers the fire suppression riser and tamper switches.

The template contains procedural steps for energy isolation, including performing LOTO assessment, notifying affected personnel, coordinating with plumbing shop personnel, and locking out valves and tampers. The document emphasizes safety requirements, noting that only Electrical Qualified Maintenance personnel are authorized to work inside electrical equipment, with limited exceptions for specific trained personnel. This template appears to be a supporting document for the larger VA contract opportunity to correct Building 100 sprinkler deficiencies, which is described in the associated pre-solicitation notice.
