About this file

This is Amendment 0002 to solicitation 36C24825R0020 containing responses to 22 RFI questions for a Design-Build project to correct sprinkler deficiencies in Building 100 at the C.W. Bill Young VA Medical Center in Bay Pines, FL. The amendment maintains the Phase 1 proposal due date of February 5, 2025 at 10:00 AM EST.

Key clarifications from the RFI responses include: NICET level III or IV certification is required; contractor is responsible for moving furniture to access sprinkler heads; CAD files and Revit models are available for reference only but their use is not required for deliverables; a third-party CITP is required; shutdown requests must be submitted 21 days in advance; and the project involves replacing non-quick response sprinkler heads throughout Building 100 with quick response heads meeting NFPA codes and VA Directives. The original solicitation is a 100% SDVOSB set-aside with an estimated value between $500,000-$1,000,000.
