B.4 SCOPE OF WORK
SCOPE OF WORK
Background:
The Orlando Veterans Affairs Healthcare System - Lake Nona is soliciting a contract to purchase non-expendable equipment and replace all existing ceiling lift motors along with the ceiling tracks and install new configurations in areas without ceiling mounted patient lifts. The Orlando Veterans Affairs Healthcare System – Lake Nona currently has Tollos lifts and rails, which have been issued an end-of-life letter from Tollos. The plan is to replace and upgrade these lifts to meet the necessary requirements and comply with the current configuration of double beds per room. Issues with the current lifts include, but are not limited to, frequent break downs, lack of vendor parts and service availability, lack of continuous in-rail charging, and limited coverage of the room.
Scope of Work:

The ceiling mounted patient lift system shall be complete with track systems, lifting unit motors, and complete mounting systems to attach to the roof system. The vendor shall provide and install a complete track configuration with continuous charge based on the need of each room. A minimum hoist capacity of 600 lbs. and 1,000 lbs. for bariatric applications must be supported by the product chosen. Installation services shall include removal of all previous overhead mounted patient lifts and appropriate configuration and installation of the new system. Services must be provided by the manufacturer’s certified technicians and must use the manufacturer’s certified parts. All service shall be coordinated through the Program Manager with the help of the Healthcare Technology Management staff, Facilities Management staff, and clinical staff.
