About this file
This is Amendment 0005 to Request for Quote (RFQ) 36C24726Q0218 issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs, Carl Vinson VA Medical Center in Dublin, Georgia. The amendment extends the response date/time from February 19, 2026 at 4:00 PM EST to February 25, 2026 at 10:00 AM EST and represents the final extension for submission of offers.
The amendment addresses four inquiries from potential offerors regarding contract performance and requirements. The Government clarifies that: (1) there are no alternative end-of-term options available; the contractor must install equipment at the contract start and remove it upon completion with no residual value; (2) the contractor is responsible for supplies specific to their equipment (such as phantoms), while the Government provides basic consumables including linens, paper towels, blankets, and wastebaskets; (3) one full-time CT Technologist is the current staffing level expected per site, with the contractor required to supply an additional credentialed CT Technologist to provide coverage during the primary technologist's absence due to illness or leave; and (4) there is no preferred proposal format—offerors should provide only what is requested and required for evaluation. The Government also notes that future plans include an organic capability with Government-purchased equipment and contracted technologist staffing, but budgetary and programmatic barriers have delayed this transition.

CONTINUATION AMENDMENT 0005
CONTINUATION OF QUESTION 1.
……..WITH NO RESIDUAL VALUE IN ALL CASES?
GOVT RESPONSE: NO, THERE IS NO ALTERNATIVE END-OF-TERM OPTION. THE
CONTRACTOR IS TO INSTALL THE EQUIPMENT AT THE BEGINNING OF THE CONTRACT
PERIOD AND REMOVE THE EQUIPMENT AT THE END OF THE CONTRACT PERIOD.
2. QUESTION: PLEASE CLARIFY THE CONTRACTOR’S RESPONSIBILITY FOR
MATERIALS AND SUPPLIES UNDER SECTION 1.3; CONSIDERING SECTION 8.5.9, WHICH
STATES THAT THE GOVERNMENT WILL PROVIDE ALL SUPPLIES, INCLUDING BASIC
CONSUMABLES AND LINENS, REQUIRED TO PERFORM CT EXAMINATIONS.
GOVT RESPONSE: SUPPLIES/MATERIALS FOR YOUR EQUIPMENT (PHANTOM, ETC).
BASIC CONSUMABLES SUCH AS LINENS, PAPER TOWELS, BLANKETS,
WASTEBASKETS, ETC., ARE PROVIDED AT THE SITE BY THE GOVERNMENT.
3. QUESTION: WE UNDERSTAND THAT THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR
PROVIDING CT TECHNOLOGIST STAFFING UNDER THIS CONTRACT. FOR PLANNING
PURPOSES, PLEASE CONFIRM THE CURRENT CT TECHNOLOGIST STAFFING AT EACH
LOCATION, INCLUDING WHETHER COVERAGE IS TYPICALLY ONE TECHNOLOGIST PER
SITE, AND WHETHER CURRENT STAFFING LEVELS ARE CONSIDERED SUFFICIENT BY
THE GOVERNMENT FOR CURRENT OPERATIONS.
GOVT RESPONSE: ONE (1) CT TECHNOLOGIST FULLTIME FOR EACH SITE IS THE
CURRENT STAFFING LEVEL EXPECTED. THE CONTRACTOR WILL NEED TO SUPPLY
ANOTHER CREDENTIALED CT TECHNOLOGIST IN THE EVENT THE PRIMARY CT
TECHNOLOGIST IS UNABLE TO PERFORM; UNAVAILABLE (SICK/LEAVE); WE WILL STILL
HAVE COVERAGE.
4. QUESTION: IS THERE A PREFERRED PROPOSAL FORMAT?
GOVT RESPONSE: NO PREFERRED FORMAT. JUST PROVIDED WHAT IS
REQUESTED/REQUIRED FOR EVALUATION.
