VENDORS QUESTIONS AND CONCERNS

Transitional Housing Unit Rentals, CAVHCS

RFQ: 36C247-20-Q-0427

Apr 22, 2020

Questions are in black with responses in red.

1. The Statement of Work asks for homes within 30 miles of Auburn, Tuskegee, and Montgomery, Alabama and the Cost/Price Schedule lists 3 separate items, does this indicate the need for a home in each of the 3 locations or can we offer units in either of the locations?

Answer: The houses/properties need to be located in the same city either Tuskegee Auburn, or Montgomery for VA logistical purposes. The SOW and Attachment 1 will be changed to reflect this requirement by amendment.

2. The Statement of Work identifies a 3-bedroom 2 bath home, will you accept an apartment, townhouse, duplex or should it be a single-family home only?

Answer: We are requesting a duplex or single-family home. The SOW and Attachment 1 will be changed to reflect this requirement by amendment.

3. Will the occupancy of these units be on a rotating basis? If so, how often will rotation occur?

Answer: No, we have admission criteria that the veteran must comply to and the veteran willingness to participate in the program. The discharge criteria are based on the veteran complying to the criteria, veteran successfully completing the set goal, and the maximum length of time the veteran is allowed to stay is one year. Because of the many different variables, it would be difficult to have a set rotation.
