I have some clarification questions regarding the Price Schedule.
Q.1 My first question is a clarification on the Wilkes -Barre and Wilmington Outpatient Virtual Pharmacy Services.
Price Schedule page 2 Sections 0006 and 0008 as well as information given in the PWS document in Section 12.1.6 and Section 12.1.7.
Price Schedule Page 2 Section 0006:
Estimated orders: 19,700 per month for Outpatient
Price Schedule Page 2 Section 0008:
Estimated orders 14,250 per month for Outpatient Mail Order Verification
QUESTION: (i) Are both of these referring to the usual & customary After Hours Outpatient Pharmacy queue processing for CMOP?
OR
(ii) Is there meant to be a difference in the manner of processing & distribution in these 'types' of scripts?
It is unusual that they are referred to differently as highlighted above, hence my concerns.
- “Mail order verification” has been removed to alleviate confusion. See Amended Price Schedule attached.
Q.2. When it states " ...... will require a base fee for orders up to 1500 per calendar month and a per unit fee for inpatient orders exceeding 1500 per calendar month", it seems to mean that a bulk fee for the total number of scripts quoted is made, and then a per script quote for any order which is over and above the quantity of 1,500 in this particular scenario.
QUESTION: where does one write in the per unit price above the 1,500 bulk ?
This applies to all of the Facilities FOR BOTH INPATIENT & OUTPATIENT.
*** Below are the answers to your questions. Please note, the Price Schedule and PWS have been modified to help alleviate confusion.
-To my knowledge, none of the facilities have gone over the inpatient base #’s because they’ve overestimated the orders so it will be covered monthly. But we’d still like to see what it would cost IF they do go over that in case of a busy month.
-From what I’ve seen from the vendor quotes we received, outpatient orders are charged per order, and does not go up even if they surpass the base #.
Q.3. PWS Section 12.1.7, and Price Schedule 0009, both with reference to Wilmington:
PWS states that Wilmington will require a base fee for any orders between the hours of 5pm to 11pm for staff shortage coverage on an as needed base.
PWS also states that as needed any day of the week, due to staffing shortage, start at 5pm and end at 11pm. These are actual standard in house hours for which coverage may be required and the Section 0009 for 720 HR stated in the Price Schedule page 2 seems to be referring to this.
Yet, as stated in Q 2 above, there is no place to quote a price for the extra orders which may be processed outside of the 1000 scripts/ month.
-For the staff shortage coverage, we were getting quotes for hourly rates for that time range, and not necessarily per script. That’s why there was an estimate of 720 hours total.
