About this file

This is a test report for asbestos analysis of bulk materials conducted by EMSL Analytical, Inc. for the VA Medical Center in Buffalo, New York. The report documents the analysis of four bulk material samples collected on April 13, 2017, and analyzed on April 14, 2017, using Polarized Light Microscopy (PLM) via the New York State ELAP 198.1 method. The samples consisted of skim coat and plaster materials (two samples) and tank-related materials including outer skin and insulation (two samples).

All four samples analyzed tested negative for asbestos. Sample results indicated that all materials were composed of 100% non-fibrous content classified as "Other," with no asbestos fibers detected. The samples were identified as BUF-1-71A, BUF-1-71C, BUF-6-ODT-1, and BUF-6-ODT-3, with corresponding EMSL order numbers 141701613-0001 through 141701613-0004. The analysis was conducted under EMSL order 141701613, customer ID VAMD30, and customer PO 52817348900155. The report was signed by Shauna Strnad (analyst) and Rhonda McGee (Laboratory Manager) and certified by EMSL's NYS ELAP accreditation number 11606.
