About this file

This document provides an amendment to a solicitation for valet parking lot services at a VA medical center. The amendment answers questions submitted by offerors regarding the solicitation. It clarifies that no area other than the valet booth will be provided for storage or office use. Electricity will be provided at the booth. Valet drivers may wear shorts in summer. There have been no significant traffic or parking issues to date other than those caused by low staffing levels. On average less than twelve vehicles remain after closing. The valet lots have never reached full capacity. Only patient vehicles are permitted to use the main entrance circle. Two claims have been filed in the last two years regarding valet services. Additional signage and a key cabinet will be required. Walkie-talkies or phones must be provided for communication. A minimum of two "No Tipping" signs and two signs regarding vehicle damage claims must be installed. Experienced, trained attendants are required to constantly assess parking needs and adjust staffing levels to meet performance standards.
