Response: VBA to provide answer.

13. Will temp heang or cooling be required for this project?

Response: Was not indicated as needed or requested during the updates to the exisng office space. New space is not currently in use and should not need temporary condioning.

14. Please provide contact informaon for the incumbent DDC controls vendor that currently services the HVAC controls for this project/building.

Response: VA provide contact informaon for coordinaon/ integraon of controls?

15. What is the make/model of the exisng DDC control system?

Response: VA provide informaon for coordinaon/ integraon of controls?

16. What is the thickness of the exisng floor slab?

18. Please confirm that all circuits that are exisng to remain and to be reused for the new receptacle locaons are not expected to require new raceways or conductors beyond the exisng juncon boxes in the immediate area where the new devices are shown.

Response: For all walls shown to demo, remove all conduits and conductors back to nearest juncon box and install new conduits and conductors for receptacles at new wall locaons.

19. Note 2 on sheet EP101 does not make sense. Please clarify the intent of the note “core drill should have USB and HDMI that have conduit running back to wall outlet, provide USB and

HDMI”

Response: Disregard keynote 2 on EP101, refer to telecom sheet TN500 detail 3 "TELECOM DATA FLOOR BOX" and sheet TN500 detail 2 "TYPICAL WALL MONITOR CATV OUTLET".

20. Please provide specificaons and a length required for the USB and HDMI if required.

Response: Standard HDMI and USB cabling may be procured locally and as needed.

21. Sheet TD101 has general notes, but does not call out any counts or locaons on the plan view.

Please provide a plan that shows the exisng device types, locaons and counts.

Response: Notes state all devices are to be demolished back to source. Any devices to remain are specifically notated.

22. Is the project floor a slab on grade, or slab on deck? If there is exisng accessible space below, please provide a plan that shows the layout of the floor below.

Response: Slab-on-grade.

23. Please confirm if note 9 on sheet TN101 will be required to be installed, and if so, provide a roung plan through the exisng areas not under construcon as part of this project.

Response: Confirmed, contractor is required to install data connecvity above doorframe.

Coordinate with VA OIG prior to installaon for exact locaon.

This is a local VMS specific for this suite. This will not be integrated into the site SCC.

Therefore, the only pathway would be from the local TR to the VMS locaon. We do not model pathways this small.

24. Please confirm that the contractor is only required to provide the floor box assembly shown on detail 4/TN500 and not any connecons or devices between the floor box and any VA provided furniture/conference table.

Response: Contractor is required to provide the floor box and assembly and route cables through conduit to the TV outlet indicated. Addional cables or devices between the floor box and any

VA provided furniture/ conference table are not a part of this scope therefore are not to be provided.

Response: See Door Hardware Specificaon 08 71 00 for Cipher Lock Basis of Design. Contractor is required to provide and install Cipher style lock. Contractor is not required to provide or install addional PIV locking mechanism.

TY101.

Response: Concur, will provide. (See Attached)

27. Please confirm that the new surveillance cameras will be ed into an exisng VMS system with available licenses.

28. Where can I locate the Performance & Payment Bonds for this Project?

Response: FAR Clause 52.236-15. The bonds must be provided 10 days after award and the amount for each bond must be for 100% of the total amount.

29. Is it two separate Bonds at 20% of Base Bid?

Response: The Bid Bond must be furnished with offer and must be 20% of total amount of the bid.

30. Per the plans I noticed other areas of the building that would need to be accessed for work to be done to complete the scope presented in the phase 1 and phase 2 plans.

Specifically in the phase 1 plan I noted:

a. pg 16, Plan page MD101, the hvac demolition extends into the “dining area” which is outside the southern boundary of the phase 1 dimensions, as well as outside of the western boundary into the “electric room”, and outside of the eastern boundary in to the “hall”.

b. pg 17, Plan page MH100, the new hvac installation plan extends outside of the southern boundary of the phase 1 dimensions into the “dining area”.

1. pg 22, Plan page PD101, the plumbing demolition extends into the “elec room” to the west

2. pg 23, Plan page PP101, the plumbing installation plan connects a DHW pipe in the

“restroom” to the west.

3. pg 30, Plan page EL102, the electrical installation plan shows panels added to an area outside the phase 1 dimensions, in the “electric room” to the west.

4. pg 37, Plan page TN101, wiring is to be connected to room 1050, which is well outside the boundary of the phase 1 dimensions.

Overall, my question is the same for each of these areas, and is kind of a broad generalized point: Are we to include pricing to repair/replace items that must be removed/cut/moved to provide the required installation. Will these areas be quarantined off during our demolitions and installations for our workers alone, or will these areas be operational and used during our work? And if so, will this quarantining be done by us at our cost, or by the VA?

Basically, we will need access to these areas that are outside of our quarantine zone per the plans, and we just want to ensure we understand how we will be provided access and how to ensure the safety of others that may be accessing these same spaces while our work is underway.

Response: Yes. Provide pricing for removal and re-installation of items/ materials for areas shown. Include area protection measures & coordination with personnel of adjacent spaces that are affected.

31. How many employees allowed to work in PHASE 1?

Response: VBA to provide answer. Contractors means and methods?

32. Permits required to be pulled from the City of Houston?

Response: Contractor to coordinate and provide permits as required by the authorities having jurisdiction.

33. Different Bins required for different materials to be disposed at a Proper Landfill with weight tickets corresponding with demolished materials?

Response: There is not a requirement for waste management other than “removal from site” per typical demolition. IF there is a specification or note that led to this thinking; please reference and we can make any necessary correction.

34. Is it the Prime Contractors duty to demolish and dispose of materials on Phase 11 of the contract?

Response: Phase 1? Yes. Contractor responsible for demo, removal from building, and disposal of all demoed materials.
