About this file

This document is a Regional Priority Network (RPN) map and notes detailing lane closure restrictions for specific highway segments in New York State, prepared by the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) on 4/10/20. The document covers lane closure guidelines for I86 (from X43 to X46), I86 Bridges over Cohocton River, and I99 from Forest Drive to I86, with specific traffic management protocols for daytime and nighttime work zones.

The document provides comprehensive guidelines for lane closures, including time restrictions, speed reductions, traffic control requirements, and emergency work provisions. Key requirements include prohibiting lane closures during peak evening traffic hours (3:00 PM to 6:00 PM), mandating Variable Message Signs (VMS) for lane closures, requesting Trooper coverage, implementing speed reductions to 55 mph, and establishing protocols for long-term lane closures. The document is associated with a contract group for Liquid Bituminous Materials (2025 VPP NYSDOT Specific Projects) utilizing both Federal and State funds, though the specific contract details are not extensively elaborated in the provided documentation.
