About this file

This is a Lobbyist Registration Requirement Certification form required by Broward County, Florida in connection with a competitive solicitation for Engineering Services for Regional Biosolids Facility Design. The certification must be completed and submitted with the solicitation response, or within three business days of the County's request. Vendors who fail to comply with the submission requirements and timeframes may be deemed nonresponsive. The form requires vendors to certify whether they have retained any lobbyist(s) to lobby in connection with this competitive solicitation. If lobbyists have been retained, vendors must confirm that each lobbyist has timely filed the required registration or amended registration under the Broward County Lobbyist Registration Act (Sections 1-260 through 1-262, Broward County Code of Ordinances). Additionally, vendors must provide the names, firms, phone numbers, and email addresses of any retained lobbyists.

The certification carries significant compliance consequences for vendors. If a vendor certifies that no lobbyists have been retained but subsequently retains one after submission, the County must be promptly notified. Vendors must understand that providing an erroneous certification, if determined to be willful or intentional, may result in the County exercising contractual rights to terminate the contract for convenience, even after contract award. The form requires the vendor's authorized representative to sign and date the certification, confirming their understanding of these requirements and their accuracy in completing the form.
