About this file

This is a submittal requirements checklist for an Invitation for Bid (IFB) issued by the Town of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, for demolition services at 9 Park Lane. The project involves the demolition of the former Nick's Steak and Seafood building located at 9 Park Lane, Hilton Head Island, SC 29928. Bidders must submit a comprehensive package of documentation including a completed bid transmittal page, signed bidder acknowledgement, bid response form, work plan and sequence of work, certificates of insurance, bid surety form and bond (if bid exceeds $100,000), contractor's license documentation, reference forms, required affidavits, and good faith documents related to small and minority business participation. The checklist serves as a control mechanism to ensure all required submissions are included with each bid response.

The submission requirements indicate that bidders must acknowledge receipt of any addendums issued for the solicitation and certify their understanding that failure to submit any required item, document, form, or information may result in rejection of their submittal. The Town of Hilton Head Island must be added as an additional insured on the contractor's insurance policy upon contract award. Bidders are encouraged to include a current Town business license with their submission, or if not currently held, must obtain one prior to commencing work if awarded the contract. The checklist also provides optional submission opportunities for local vendor certifications pre-approved by the Town.
