About this file
This document is an engineering design drawing for the Upper Silver Creek Bridge replacement project, detailing a new prefabricated steel truss bridge structure. The technical drawing provides comprehensive plans for a bridge replacement, including a plan view, elevation view, and section views at abutments, with specific design details such as weathering steel truss superstructure, 40'-1-1/2" clear span, and new minor concrete work at abutments 1 and 2.
The drawing, prepared for the U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service, includes detailed specifications like hydrology and hydraulics parameters (Manning coefficient, drainage area), structural design notes, and materials specifications. Key technical elements include prefabricated weathering steel truss superstructure, epoxy-set anchor bolts, and provisions for restoring damaged concrete. The design adheres to AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications and includes precise measurements, material specifications, and construction guidance for replacing the existing bridge structure.
