About this file

This document is a compliance matrix that outlines the requirements and specifications for the fabrication of Storage Ring (SR) Photon Absorbers for the Advanced Light Source Upgrade (ALS-U) project. The compliance matrix covers the key deliverables, scope of work, management and reporting requirements, packaging and shipping specifications, quality assurance, and technical requirements such as vacuum pressure, manufacturing processes, cleaning, testing, and packing/shipping.

The key requirements include the Subcontractor providing documentation, drawings, hardware, and performing a first article and production run. The Subcontractor must also adhere to a defined schedule, participate in design reviews, and comply with various standards and processes related to materials, fabrication, cleaning, testing, and packaging/shipping. The contract opportunity associated with this compliance matrix is Solicitation Number AA-2024-05 for the fabrication of the SR Photon Absorbers for the ALS-U project. Proposals are due Thursday June 27, 2024.
