About this file
This document presents bid schedules for the City of South Jordan's Daybreak Lane Replacement project, which involves the demolition and replacement of deteriorated concrete lanes providing residential access throughout the Daybreak area. The project is divided into two base bids with distinct timelines and scopes. Base Bid 1 encompasses three lanes—Cobham Lane (2,725 square feet), Zemo Lane (2,092 square feet), and Galleon Lane (1,977 square feet)—with work completion required by June 18th, 2026, following an anticipated Notice to Proceed on May 7th, 2026. Base Bid 2 includes Big Bend Lane (2,965 square feet) and Cart Lane (330 square feet), with work beginning after July 1st, 2026 and completion required by August 12th, 2026. Each schedule includes six line items: mobilization and traffic control, site preparation and storm water pollution prevention plan (SWPPP) compliance, street sweeping and cleaning, concrete demolition, concrete and base construction, and landscaping restoration.
Pricing is structured on a lump sum and unit cost basis. Mobilization and traffic control, site preparation/SWPPP, street sweeping and cleaning, and landscaping restoration are bid as lump sum items, while concrete demolition and concrete and base construction are priced per square foot. The mobilization payment structure follows a percentage-based schedule tied to contract progress: 40 percent of the bid amount is paid when 5 percent of work is completed, 20 percent at 35 percent completion, 30 percent at 50 percent completion, and 10 percent at 70 percent completion. All work must comply with APWA Standard Specifications, City of South Jordan standards, Utah UPDES Permit requirements, and project-specific provisions. Bids must be submitted electronically through the State of Utah's Bonfire platform, with vendor registration available at https://utah.bonfirehub.com/.
