About this file
This is a Public Contract Boycott Restriction Statement (Attachment B) required by the Jordan School District for vendors responding to an Invitation for Bid for Theatrical Lighting at Elk Ridge Middle School in Utah. In accordance with Utah Code 63G-27 (S.B. 97), all vendors must certify and agree that they are not currently engaged in an "economic boycott" or a "boycott of the State of Israel" as defined in the statute, and commit to maintaining compliance throughout the contract period. The statement specifies prohibited boycott activities, including boycotts of the State of Israel, companies engaged in traditional energy, mining, or agriculture, companies involved in firearm manufacturing or distribution, companies not meeting environmental standards beyond applicable regulations, and companies that do not facilitate access to abortion or sex characteristic surgeries. Vendors must sign and submit this certification as part of their bid response.
The boycott restriction statement requires vendors to immediately notify the Jordan School District in writing if they engage in any prohibited boycott activities during the contract term. The certification form requires the vendor to provide the solicitation name and number, company name, signature, printed name, and date. This document serves as a compliance requirement for all goods and services contracts with the Jordan School District, including supplies, information technology, and construction services, ensuring that awarded contractors meet the state's boycott restriction requirements throughout the contract performance period.

ATTACHMENT B
Public Contract Boycott Restriction Statement
In accordance with Utah Code 63G-27 (S.B. 97) Public Contract Boycott Restrictions, vendors contracting with the Jordan School District to provide any good or service, including supplies, information technology, or construction services, must certify they are not currently engaged in an “economic boycott” nor a “boycott of the State of Israel” as those terms are defined in that Code section. Vendors must also agree not to engage in either boycott for the duration of the contract (if awarded). For example, a vendor may not, without an ordinary business purpose, boycott: the State of Israel; companies engaged in activities related to traditional energy, mining, or agriculture; companies engaged in the manufacture, distribution, sale, or use of firearms; companies that do not meet environmental standards beyond applicable state and federal laws; or companies that do not facilitate access to abortion or sex characteristic surgeries. If a vendor does engage in such a boycott, it must immediately notify the public entity party to the contract in writing.
We agree to comply with the above statement during the entire contract period.
