About this file

This is a Payment Bond document for the City of Fort Worth, Texas, related to the 2027 Concrete Restoration Contract 3 (City Project No. 106806). The bond secures the contractor's obligation to pay all laborers, materialmen, and other beneficiaries involved in the concrete restoration work. The project scope includes approximately 11,705 square yards of 9-inch concrete pavement, 3,685 square yards of 7-inch concrete pavement, 2,000 cubic yards of flex base, and 8,000 square yards of geogrid installation. The bond is executed between the Principal (contractor), the Surety (corporate surety authorized to do business in Texas), and the City of Fort Worth as the obligee.

The payment bond amount is to be determined and filled in by the parties, with the bond penal sum serving as security for all monies owed to payment bond beneficiaries as defined under Chapter 2253 of the Texas Government Code. The bond becomes null and void upon full payment of all obligations; otherwise, it remains in full force and effect. The document requires execution by duly authorized officers of both the Principal and Surety, with signatures, seals, and attestations from both parties. The bond date must not be prior to the contract award date, and the Surety must provide certified evidence of authority to execute such obligations. Both the physical and mailing addresses of the Surety must be provided if they differ.
