Questions and Answers Mid Atlantic Tribal Health Center Dental Furniture and Equipment
285-25-RFQ-0008
Q: The engineers at RAMVAC and Solmetex do not recommend the Mini unless it is a tight space for the following reasons: “The mini-amalgam separator should only be used on the smallest water ring pumps – do not plan to use it with any of the dry vacuums or the MC 201 or 202 water ring pumps as it restricts the air flow.” For a single vac, up through the RV 7, the Hg 5 8707-002 can be used.
A: This item has changed on the updated Bid Schedule Q: For the A-Dec 532: There are 5 positions, but no tubing for one position. Is this being left blank for a future upgrade?
A: This has been changed on the updated Bid Schedule. The internal block only accommodates 4 positions for handpiece, or anything that needs water and air. The 5th position is typically used to add a camera at a later time.
Q: For the Cabinetry Is the cabinetry against a wall or freestanding?
A: All rooms are closed and therefore all cabinetry will need to be braced to a wall.
Q: Rear Cabinet Is there a need for the integration of a Nitrous System?
A: No.
Q: Line 71 on the Bid Schedule Steri Center: The length shows 112". This is an odd measurement. Is this because the wall is only 112"? Ours are typically 120". Can we get the room measurements or, better yet, the architectural drawings?
A: The Bid Schedule has been amended to accommodate the space at 140” Q: For Mid-Atlantic Tribal Health Center dental clinic, do you have a specific color scheme for the dental area, what upholstery colors should be considered for dental chairs, stools, and operator seating, and what are the office designer's typical color scheme considerations for this project?"
A: A Color Scheme has not been selected at this time.
Q: What is the completion date for construction on the clinic? What is the period of performance for this RFQ?
A: Majority of Construction is now complete. Delivery should be 60 days After receipt of order, Alternative delivery schedules should be included in the contractor’s proposals in cases of manufacturer lead time, or other expected delays.
