About this file
This document is a Clarifying Questions file for a federal contract opportunity for a Wi-Fi and network infrastructure project at Fort Hood, Texas. The solicitation is for a new 12-month Fixed Firm Price Contract involving network switches, wireless access points, and internet services for the 761st Tank Battalion, with a projected start date of January 15, 2026. Key technical requirements include installing indoor and outdoor Wi-Fi access points, providing 5Gbps internet circuit, implementing network infrastructure, and meeting specific coverage and performance standards.
The contract includes multiple Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs) for network hardware, internet service, and installation, with pricing to be determined by vendors. The government will not provide furnished equipment, and vendors must coordinate facility access, badging, and installation details upon award. The solicitation will be competed as other than full and open competition, with responses due by January 2, 2026, at 12:00 NOON Central Time. Notably, the government emphasizes that quotation submission is not required, and the purpose is to provide notice of intention to award on a sole-source basis. Operational constraints include working within 0700 to 1530 hours and coordinating with the requiring activity for specific implementation details.
