PROJECT DESCRIPTION/SERVICES REQUESTED:
On behalf of the Michigan Department of Natural Resources (MDNR) Parks and Recreation Division (PRD), The Department of Technology, Management, and Budget (DTMB) is seeking a Professional Services Consultant (PSC) requesting professional architectural and engineering services of a 36CFR61 qualified Historic Architect for the assessment, design, and probable construction cost to address failed and/or deteriorated and stressed masonry of the historic furnace stacks at Fayette Historic State Park.

2. Some existing as-built and reference information from a previous project at this location has been located. See attachments As-Built-Plans, As-Built-Specification, and Furnace Structural Assessment Report – 2013.
3. A masonry mix design has been developed from previous repairs. See attachments Masonry Spec 1 and Masonry Spec 2. Masonry Spec 1 was used on a project from 2020, and Masonry Spec 2 was used on a project in 2024 and is currently the preferred mix for facility restorations, however the PSC is to review and suggest recommended changes.
